Gold Coast – Brisbane – Sunshine Coast | Part 7/9

Day 7

Swipe here..swipe there…$$$

Initial plan was to go to Sea World, but we postponed it to the next day. Instead, we went to the Harbour Town to do some shopping as the shops will be closed much later on Thursday compared to Friday.

That morning before going out to Harbour Town, I spent some time walking at the Surfer Paradise beach. I just love the beach. Its very clean, the sand were smooth, beautiful seagulls strolling by the seaside but the water was cold. But too bad, i have to miss the chance to see the life guard on action! Rugi !!! (But still happy, because few of them staying at the same apartment block that we rented)

Its morning, but sun shine really bright already

We took bus from our stay to the Harbour Town. First thing that we did once we reached there was to go to the Tourism Lounge.

Wonder why you must visit the Tourism Lounge?

1. to apply for VIP tourism card. The card valid for one day and offer special discount for travellers. I was asked to fill the form, n then was given a card with list of discounts and offers.

2. This is our meeting point and also served as refresh area. There is prayer room, complimentary refreshment, place where you can rest for a while before continuing shopping.

3. Storage facilities. When I have too many shopping bags to hold, I leave em at the lounge n then continue shopping. ( the reason why I spent a bit too much that day!)

Harbour Town was quite big, with Woolsworth as the main anchor, and more than 100 retail outlets. Bought an analogue watch, blouses and shirts and purse for myself.(Tips: always go through all the shelves and racks for bargain of the day). Next stop was Woolsworth to shop for chocolates and cookies to bring back home (Tips: Ensure checking the ingredients label. Some choc contained gelatine sourced from beef, thus it is non halal unless stated otherwise)

For late lunch+ tea break, I had kofte kebab which was soooo delicious and fulfilling. I think the kebab cost around, $8-$10

Done with eating, I wrapped up my shopping with souvenir shopping. We went home feeling satisfied and happy. (And with a headache when it was packing for home time!)
